Stolwijkersluis

The river water level is considerably higher than the water level of ditches and other inland waters. This difference is best visible along the Hollandsche IJssel, for example at the Stolkwijkersluis. The Hollandsche IJssel is a tidal river, so the water level also varies, depending on ebb and flow.
