Around 1900, Eetcafe Het Vergulde Ros was a stopping place for horse and cattle traders. This was also the base of tradesmen who came here for a drink at the end of the day. In short, the eatery has a rich history, which you can still see in the paintings and the plates on the wall that date back to the early years of Het Vergulde Ros. The ox red wooden floor, the old tribal table and the beams on the ceiling have also been preserved from the past. All this creates an unmistakably authentic atmosphere and a lot of fun.
