Oudemirdumer klif

The Oudemirdumer Klif was purchased in the 1930s by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten because of its great earth-scientific value. There is a viewing point that is open to the public. From this point there is a magnificent view over the IJsselmeer. Het Klif is rich in special plants. More than 200 species have been found on the beach and the wall. To the left of the cliff is De Hege Gerzen day recreation area, which has traditionally served as a beach for Gaasterland.
