Industrieel Atrium

The industrial Atrium is a knowledge center for Helmond's industrial heritage. A foundation was established in 1996 to collect and store information and documents about the industrial heritage in one place. The collection continued to grow and in 2008 this led to a real Heritage House. This house is decorated in the style and atmosphere of the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Nowadays you will find various rooms with exhibitions in the knowledge center. For example, you can visit an exhibition with objects that were used in the basic industries: textile, metal, printing and energy. You will also find a room that is decorated as a boardroom from the 19th century, a cinema where you can view corporate history documentaries, a machine park with machines and hand tools that were used in the past and a fully equipped commercial printing house from the beginning of the 20th century. This way you can get acquainted with the industry of the past in different ways. The perfect place to learn more about Helmond's industrial past.
