Visit the Donner bookshop on Coolsingel: a beautiful bookshop in the center of Rotterdam, an eatery, an antiquarian bookshop and a shop with sheet music all rolled into one. The store is located in a monumental building that used to house the bank ABN-AMRO. Inside the store you will find the largest collection of books in the country: literature, children's books, travel guides, maps, cookbooks, science books. You can't think of it that crazy or you can buy it here. If you like books, you can certainly spend hours browsing here. You will also find an extensive range of gift items, greeting cards and magazines. In the eatery you can take a break from walking and gain extra energy with a cup of coffee, pastries and lunch dishes. Bookshop Donner has been around since 1912, although you couldn't get a cup of coffee there yet. The store is a true icon of the city of Rotterdam and the place to go if you are a bookworm.
