Stad Hasselt

The city advertises with the slogan "Capital of Taste", to promote the catering establishments and shops. On the Grote Markt there are numerous cafes, restaurants and taverns as well as in the rest of the city. The Demerstraat and the Koning-Albertstraat are the main shopping streets. The more expensive shops are generally located in both the Kapelstraat and the Hoogstraat, side streets of this shopping axis.
