M72 - Elburg - Vestingstad Elburg

The fortified town of Elburg has a special shape. In contrast to most medieval cities, the map of Elburg is not round but rectangular. The street pattern also consists of straight lines and right angles. Even the church is not in the middle of the city, but on the edge of the old city wall.
