M53 - Varik - Dikke Toren

Varik's history dates back to the 10th century, when a court called Feldrike was located here. The current tower was built from about 1300. The tower has been a beacon for skippers across the Waal for centuries. With a height of 35 meters, the plump tower rises head and shoulders above the surroundings.
