W06-Poederoijen - Batterij onder Poederoijen

Battery under Poederoijen was built around 1880 as part of the New Dutch Waterline. In the event of war the western part of the Bommelerwaard would be flooded. The battery's guns had to control the Meuse and protect the inundation locks. The battery is currently being refurbished and opened to the public.
