W04-Heerewaarden - Fort Sint-Andries

Fort Sint-Andries is strategically located where the Maas and Waal almost meet. In fact, these are two different fortresses with the same name. Old Sint-Andries was built by the Spaniards during the Eighty Years' War. Not much is left of New Fort Sint-Andries from 1815 than an exciting ruin.
