L71 - Doetinchem - Bombardement

The city of Doetinchem had survived the occupation period fairly unscathed. But at the end of the war, the city still suffered the worst setback in its history. On March 19, 21 and 23, 1945, British planes bombed the historic center of the city. A satisfactory explanation has never been found.
