Kasteel Brakel

In 1672, Castle Brakel was blown up by French troops. A century later, Wilhelmus Wilhelmius built a new Huis Brakel a little further. The ruins of the old castle were incorporated into a newly landscaped garden around 1820. That is unique for Gelderland.
