Hotel Hooghuys

Hamont-Achel is a charming town with a historical heritage that is surrounded by various nature reserves with extensive heathland, babbling brooks, etc. It is centrally located on the cycle route network of the Limburg and Brabant Kempen, in the middle of the greenest spots in our region. From the hotel, the discovery tour can start with the already prepared routes (both cycling and walking routes). There is a choice of different distances and the necessary stopping points have been taken into account, including the Trappist near 'De Achelse Kluis'. And... to make sure it's the most beautiful spots, we've already explored most of the routes ourselves! For the walker, we would like to refer to the seven "Trappist hiking trails" and the hiking area of the "Warmbeek valley", both of which cross our town fully signposted. The mountain biker can also indulge themselves in a "Mountain bike network North Limburg" that runs in 7 municipalities in North Limburg, consisting of 14 fully-fledged cyclists.
