In the middle of the beautiful Maasheggen landscape in the floodplains of the Maas near the village of Sambeek, lies the impressive lock complex in the hospitable Brabant countryside. On the mound with former lockkeepers' houses you will find accommodation / bed & breakfast / lunchroom De Meerstoel here. Your hostess, Liesbeth, welcomes you. In front of the lunchroom you will find the cozy terrace with a view of the locks where it is nice to relax in the breeze that always crosses the river. The lunchroom has an extensive menu with tasty sandwiches, drinks, cups of soup, toasted sandwiches, pancakes and farmers' soft ice cream from dairy farm De Romkan in Overloon. Since 2006 you can also use Bed & Breakfast in De Meerstoel. You can choose from five rooms with a lot of privacy and a view over the lock complex or the Maas hedge area.
