Oorlogs- en bevrijdingsmonument Eindhoven

The war and liberation monument in Eindhoven is a bronze sculpture group of three male figures with their heads bowed down. The statue is placed on a round pedestal of musch-lime. The pedestal has four limestone tiles with embossed images of the Second World War and a text. The sculpture group is 2 meters 80 high, 2 meters 40 wide and 2 meters 10 deep. The pedestal is 1 meter 02 high, 88 centimeters wide and 12 centimeters deep. A bronze torch has been placed in front of the sculpture group. The torch is 2 meters 75 high, 22 centimeters wide and 35 centimeters deep. The whole is surrounded by a tiled plateau with concrete slabs. On the edge of this plateau are granite blocks bearing the names of Eindhoven war victims. These victims are divided into five groups. Soldiers and civilians in military service, resistance fighters, Jewish residents, residents killed in the city and residents killed elsewhere.
