Kindermonument "Bevrijding"

In 1995, the Orange Association Oosterbeek set up the Children's Liberation Monument. It is a call for peace now and in the future, from children to adults. The circle is formed by tiles, made by children from Oosterbeek's primary schools. Homemade portraits of the children are depicted on the tiles. The monument continues to grow with a 'time capsule', formed by glass boxes and filled with three-dimensional collages. The glass boxes are visibly buried in the ground. New boxes are added regularly. The boxes thus gradually form a path from the protection of the circle to the world.
