Talbot House
Talbot House is a 19th century mansion of a local hop merchant, where British chaplains Neville Talbot and PB Clayton set up a soldiers' club shortly after the outbreak of the First World War. The house, with a chapel in the attic, was a place where the soldiers could rest away from the front. They found a 'home away from home'. Today it is a museum with a guesthouse.
