The museum presents the historical story of WWI in a poignant and comprehensible way, with special attention to the Battle of Passchendaele. This battle is known as one of the most gruesome battles of the First World War, with more than half a million casualties for a terrain gain of only eight kilometers. 'Passchendaele' became a household name in the history of WWI as a symbol of the meaninglessness of war violence in all its horror.
