Veenmuseum Westerhaar

In this open air museum life and work in the peat is depicted. On the site you can visit a number of peat huts, an old typical Vriezenveen farm and a small shop-adjoining taproom like those that occurred in the region at the end of the 19th century. You can let yourself be driven around the terrain in an original peat train.
