Stedelijk van Abbemuseum
The Van Abbemuseum is a museum for modern and contemporary art in the center of Eindhoven. It has an extensive international collection of over 2,800 works of art, including key works by El Lissitzky, Joseph Beuys, Ren? Dani? Ls, Marlene Dumas, Sheela Gowda, Hito Steyerl and Iris Kensmil. About six hundred of these works are part of the collection presentation. The museum was opened in 1936 and is named after founder Henri van Abbe. He was a lover of modern art and wanted to let Eindhoven enjoy it.
