Museum Nagele is the place to be if you are interested in the history of Nagele. Nagele occupies an important place in the architectural history of the Netherlands, because the village was completely built by the architectural group De Acht. Architects such as Gerrit Rietveld and Aldo van Eyck were part of this group. Nagele is made up of straight lines and surfaces with a lot of glass, concrete and flat roofs. In the museum you will learn more about this and you can also view changing exhibitions in which architecture and visual art play an important role. The exhibits are exchanged every three months. Since 1998 the museum has been located in the former Roman Catholic church of Nagele. Take a walk through Nagele itself and enjoy the so-called 'outdoor exhibition'. Then you see the special architecture in all its glory. Artworks by contemporary artists are also regularly exhibited in Nagele itself. For example, you will find signs with poems in the village.
