This museum is located right next to the historic Oirschotse Markt. The museum is dedicated to the Kruysen expressionist family from Brabant: father Jan, his son Antoon and his daughter Maria. Jan Kruysen was especially a leader in Brabant painting in the 1920s and 1930s. He was a striking artist who roamed around a lot and earned a living painting. He made many impressionist paintings, but later he started making more expressive and colorful paintings under the influence of his son. Antoon Kruysen was more successful abroad than his father, especially in France. Maria Kruysen only started painting at a later age. Nowadays, the museum not only houses works of art by the Kruysen family, but also works by contemporaries and works by contemporary Brabant artists. Think of artists such as Rob Roag, Marcel Bastiaans, the Amateur Art and Mariette van Berkel. The exhibitions in the museum alternate regularly. The museum is open every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
