Molenmuseum in Koog a/d Zaan

In the Windmill Museum in Koog aan de Zaan you can learn more about windmills and the windmill history of the Zaan region. You will also find information about the regional language of the Zaan region here. Perhaps the Mill Panorama is the most important asset of the museum. This enormous painting of eleven meters wide - which depicts the east bank of the Zaan around 1800 - alone makes a visit to the Molenmuseum more than worthwhile. It was painted by the painter and founder of the association De Zaansche Molen, Frans Mars, during and just after the Second World War in the Het Pink mill.
