Kazematten Museum

A few kilometers from the Frisian coast are the famous casemates of Kornwerderzand on the Afsluitdijk. It is the only place in Europe where the German Blitzkrieg came to a standstill in the May days of 1940. Only 225 Dutch soldiers managed to stop more than 15,000 Germans. A story to be proud of.
