Landgoederen Backershagen en Wiltzanck

Like many country estates, Landgoed Backershagen also originated from a farm. This farm already existed in 1400. At the end of the 17th century the farm was used as a country retreat. Around 1730 a mansion was built on the east side of the farm and a start was made with the construction of a beautiful park. The name was changed to Backers-Hagen.
