Kasteel van Rhoon

Rhoon Castle owes its name to the Van Roden family. A castle has stood on the castle grounds since the twelfth century. This was set on fire by the watergeuzen in 1572, after which the current castle was built. This was not a fortified house, but a nobleman's house primarily focused on living comfort.
