Landhuis Dekemastate

The Dkema family, after which the house was named, lived in this state in the 16th century. Because a restoration was necessary, the family transferred their property to the Old Burger Weeshuis Foundation in Leeuwarden. The Dekemastate is currently open to visitors. It is no longer inhabited. The interior provides a look back in time, just before the Second World War.
