Kasteel Ter Hooge

A messy stack of buildings originally forms the medieval castle Ter Hooge. Sijmon van der Hooge probably owned it in the 13th century. Then the castle comes into the hands of the Van Borssele family. In 1713 it is sold to the Middelburg merchant Steven Scheyderuyt. This has a geometric garden with four star forests, a moat with scalloped edge and an avenue behind the house.
