Karel Blomhoff is a butcher and cattle dealer. He married Rosa de Jongh, born August 16, 1876 in Eindhoven. She is the daughter of Eva Keijzer and Benjamin de Jongh, owner of the hardware store on Kleine Berg. The couple has three children: Fanny, Benjamin. who died on October 3, 1903 - he was three months old at the time - and Meijer. Rosa becomes a widow in 1932. Rosa Blomhoff-de Jongh lives with her daughter. who is married to Karel ltalie, in the building of Izaak Levie Italy. The van Boele and Eva Polanus-van Boele family also lives there. Rosa Blomhoff-de Jongh was deported to Westerbork on 10 July 1943. The deportation to Sobibor follows on 13 July 1943. Rosa was murdered in Sobibor immediately after arriving on July 16, 1943. Her daughter and son-in-law survived the war. Meijer van Boele was born on January 14, 1877 in Oisterwijk. He is one of the six children of Salomon van Boele and Rosina Andriesse. His two sisters, Ester and Antje, run a butcher's shop on Boschdijk 35. Meijer himself is a meat wholesaler. Meijer married Henriette de Jongh on June 12, 1907. The couple has four children. Henriette survives for the war. During the war, Meijer van Boele lives at 14 Stratumseind. He shares the house with his children Rosina, Benjamin, Simon and Eva and with Rosa Blomhoff-de Jongh and Izaak Levie Italy, the owner of the property. Benjamin van Boele was born in Eindhoven on October 22, 1909. Like his father, he is a meat wholesaler by trade. Simon van Boele was born on March 9, 1013 in Eindhoven. He is veekoopman by profession. Father Meijer and his sons Benjamin and Simon are deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz on November 15, 1943. They were murdered there on January 31, 1944. Meijers' daughter, Rosina van Boele, born in 1908, survived the war. The other daughter, Eva, is the widow of Wolf Polannus. She was also murdered by the Nazis. Izaak Levie ltalie was born on February 20, 1864 in Nijmegen. In 1875 he came to Eindhoven from Enschede. He has a business "De Nieuwe Gaper" at Stratumseind 14 where he sells men's fashion, beds and curtains. The business is later taken over by his son Karel. Son Karel and daughter-in-law Fanny, who also live at Stratumseind 14, survive the war. Izaak Italy is deported from Westerbork to Sobibor on 2 March 1943. More than seven weeks later, on April 23, 1943, he was murdered there. Wolf Polanus marries Eva van Boele, born in Eindhoven on 8 July 1911. She is a daughter of Meijer van Boele and Henriette de Jongh. They have a daughter: Henriette Emelie, born on May 2, 1940 in Eindhoven. Eve becomes a widow. Her husband, Wolf Polanus, died on January 1, 1942 at the age of thirty-five in Rotterdam. Eva lives in the building of Izaak Levie Italy together with him. her father, brothers and sister, and Rosa Blornhoff-de fongh. She also lived at 59 Stratumsedijk for a while. On November 15, 1943, Eva was deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz and was murdered there two and a half months later on January 31, 1944. Her daughter survived the war.
