Borgterrein Ewsum

The castle of the Ewsum family was destroyed in the 13th century. A new deposit was built called Ewsum. There was a long battle between the Groningers and the Ewsum family. The Borg was demolished in 1863, with the exception of the gun turret from 1472. The Borg area is freely accessible and gives a good idea of how the people gardened for three hundred years.
