Kasteelruïne de Keverberg
Due to its location on the raised hill, this castle ruin de Keverberg is one of the few remaining moth castles in the Netherlands. Originally, the building was one of the oldest castles in Limburg and was known as Kessel Castle. The castle probably dates from the ninth century and was used to control shipping traffic on the river. During the Second World War, the castle was occupied by German soldiers, who blew it up and set it on fire during their retreat.
