De Folkingestraat Synagoge

Neo-Moorish style building, with the plan of a Christian basilica and decorated with Jewish symbols. The clear and light design is partly taken from the Semper Synagogue in Dresden. Horseshoe arches determine the shape. The decoration with vegetable motifs is striking. We see this reflected in the large round stained-glass window with its 'Tree of Life' symbolism.
