Scheemder Kerk

Simple hall church with a three-sided choir closure. Freestanding tower. The stair tower provides access to the vaults. An "old style" window was installed above the entrance in 1888, with the image of a woman reading the Bible. The top of the tower with stepped gables and spire was heavily modified during the'romantic' restoration of 1887. The lower space of the tower has a restored dome vault.
