Garnizoenskerk

The former garrison church of Oudeschans was built in 1626 and initially served for the soldiers stationed here. It is an extremely sober hall church, just like in the other two border fortresses, Nieuweschans and Bourtange. In 1772, church and rectory are connected. Church and rectory thus form a whole; and that is quite exceptional.
