Der Aa-kerk

A towering Gothic church; high pointed windows of choir and transept, behind it the high baroque tower that repeats the shape of choir and ambulatory and pushes it upwards. The walls of the choir recede slightly due to the pressure of the vaults. The pointed arch windows are simpler than the large windows of the transept with fish bladder tracking. The light from the large windows emphasizes the Gothic structure inside.
