L123: De John S. Thompsonbrug

One of the most successful military actions during Operation Market Garden is the rapid capture of this bridge. Lieutenant John Thompson and his group land not far from the south ramp. The rest of his company fell much further away. Thompson decides not to wait for them and immediately storms the bridge. The element of surprise is therefore maximized and he receives the bridge undamaged. The bridge has been named after 2004.
