Luisterplek 117 - Slag bij Overloon

The villages of Overloon and Gennep form the gates to North Limburg for the Allies. During the Second World War, a very large battle took place in Overloon and the surrounding area. When the Allies had been unable to capture the bridge at Arnhem, they looked for another route to invade Germany. On October 12, 1944, the British almost wiped Overloon off the map.
