The Americans do encounter some German resistance with their capture of Eindhoven, but it goes quite quickly. A German sniper shoots the troops here in Vlokhoven and makes several victims. In the Woenselsestraat there are two heavy German guns and they fire at the advancing American paratroopers. The projectiles fly horizontally across the street towards the para 's. Eindhoven residents come to the rescue in all kinds of ways.
