L103: Dankzij de ondergrondse

On September 17, 1944, five Allied aircraft were shot down above this area by the German anti-aircraft guns. A large number of parachutists and crew members can jump out of the burning aircraft in time. On the ground they are quickly received by people from the underground. They hide the Americans and British from the Germans here in the woods. Thanks to the underground, these soldiers survive and can later be relieved.
