Deelen Airport was one of the largest German airports in the Netherlands. Few people know that a short distance away is another impressive German relic of World War II. Diogenes; a huge bunker of 40 by 60 meters, more than 16 meters high and walls 3 to 4 meters thick. This bunker was taken into use by the Germans in the autumn of 1943 for air defense.
