L27: Een ravage

The Sunday rest was disrupted twice by the air raid alarm on 17 September 1944, but it was always false. People have simply gone to church when suddenly the air raid alarm sounds again. The churchgoers don't know yet about the things to come this day. Not much later, the German barracks in Arnhem are bombed and there are also civilian casualties.
