L8: Door regen en modder naar de overwinning

Operation Veritable was the start of the so-called Rhineland Offensive in February 1945. The Allies wanted to attack the Germans in the flank and possibly advance quickly to Berlin. An incoming thaw completely disrupted the carefully thought-out plan. Rain and mud made it almost impossible to move forward, but victory still dawned.
