L7: Verovering van Gennep

For a long time it seemed that Gennep would stay out of the fray of the Second World War. This picture quickly changed when the river Maas formed the temporary border between the warring factions. At the beginning of 1945 the Allies captured the town. Gennep thus became the prologue of the Rhineland Offensive.
