The Grote or Eusebius Church towers above the city. In this late Gothic cross basilica is a unique glass lift, which rises to a height of no less than 73 meters. The Gothic elements of the Eusebius Church, such as the pointed arches and flying buttresses, make the building an important European monument. The Eusebius Church was built in 1453 to 1560, but was given a new tower after the damage caused during the Battle of Arnhem.
