R13: Romeinse wachttoren

The remains of a Roman guard post from the 3rd century have been found in the middle of the Heumensoord. The post played an important role in the Romans' new defense strategy. To cope with the increasing incursions of Germanic tribes, the troops were concentrated more inland.
