R6: Oudste Romeinse nederzetting

Oppidum Batavorum is the oldest Roman settlement in the Netherlands, founded around 10 BC in present-day Nijmegen. It means 'fortified place of the Batavians' and made it easier for the Romans to exert influence in this region.
