De Mûnts

On the last part of the route you can admire the De M? Nts windmill in the village Buitenpost. In 1871 the mill was placed in Oosterhoogebrug in connection with the construction of the Eemskanaal. In 1952 a demolition permit was issued for the mill, which was bought by a private individual and had the ground sailor rebuilt on the current site. Then he got his current name, which in Dutch means 'De Monnik'.
