Molen De Hoop

The Bisschopsmolen is a tower mill and served as a flour mill until 1959. The Bisschopsmolen was built in 1744 for the bishop of Antwerp and was the successor to three centuries-old standard mills. Between 1561 and 1795 Etten-Leur came under the diocese of Antwerp. The mill provided the bishop with a steady source of income.
