Waterwheel mill

De Spoordonkse Watermolen

Call us Visit the website
This water mill on the outskirts of the church village of Spoordonk was built in 1453. The original mill was made of wood, but in 1868 the wooden hull of the mill was replaced by a stone wall. In the 1970s the mill fell into serious disrepair. The owner of the Spoordonksemolen then had the mill restored to its original state. The mill has been running at full speed since 1995. In the mill grain is ground into flour. The Spoordonksemolen is located on the edge of the beautiful stream valley of the Beerze, a beautiful area for cyclists and walkers. Guided tours are regularly given in and around the watermill. Have you always wanted to see what a working watermill looks like on the inside? Then pay a visit to the Spoordonksemolen. There are also regular concerts, shows with historical tractors and motorcycles and various demonstrations. The watermill is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10.00 am.
