Kasteeltuin Sypesteyn

Sypesteyn Castle is a gem to see, but the garden around it is perhaps even more beautiful. The park of Sypesteyn Castle Museum was designed between 1903 and 1912 by esquire van Sypesteyn in an early 17th century style. The special exotic trees and shrubs he planted at the time were unknown in the Netherlands at the time and are now among the oldest in our country. The delightful Katsura tree, Japanese weeping honey tree, bittern nut or sweet gum tree: lovers of exotic trees will find what they are looking for here. But also the rosarium, the orchard with old fruit varieties and the sculpture exhibitions that are regularly organized here make a visit to this park worthwhile.
